Soccer Skills Training For youth players

Highly effective training program delivered by expert coaches

ABOUT TEQ ACADEMY

TEQ Academy was created to provide the best possible training option for players in the PNW. We love soccer and want to help as many players as we can become the best version of themselves, while raising the overall level in the area. We bring together over 40 years of combined technical training and team coaching experience, in conjunction with our extensive playing backgrounds to implement a training program designed to help players of all levels get to their next level.

The training is based on working with the ball and playing various games designed to challenge the players in different ways based on the goals of the training session. It's technical training, but will benefit the players all around as they gain balance, strength, and power in the various techniques.

Players will see great improvements in their mastery of the ball, body control and coordination, confidence and competence in 1v1 attack and defense, and overall Soccer IQ development. In every aspect of our training they will be honing their focus, ability to learn, and desire to compete.

At TEQ we bring together an excellent curriculum with even better coaches.

Ellis Mcloughlin
CO-FOunder

I was born and raised in Seattle. I played for Emerald City FC and Crossfire in my youth, winning multiple state titles and major tournaments. At the age of 15, I moved to Bradenton, FL to attend the residency program for the USA U-17 National team where I played in the 2007 U-17 FIFA World Cup in South Korea.

After the World Cup, I enrolled in the University of Washington playing for the team my freshman year, during that time we qualified for the NCAA tournament. After my time at UW, I signed my first professional contract with Hertha Berlin in the German Bundesliga. I played for Hertha Berlin for 3 seasons from 2007 to 2010 and eventually ended up back in the United States where I signed with the San Jose Earthquakes, playing 2 seasons.

After my professional career ended in 2013, I immediately started the next phase of my love for the game and have been coaching ever since. I have a deep passion for passing along my professional experiences and knowledge of the game to the next generations and I absolutely love what I do.

QUINN GRISHAM
CO-FOunder

Quinn was born in Seattle and raised in Issaquah, WA, where he grew up playing a variety of sports. He eventually devoted his focus to soccer, driven by a goal to reach the highest level of the game. As a youth player, Quinn captained Eastside FC to three state championships and multiple major tournament titles. He also competed for the '91 Washington State ODP team and the Crossfire Academy, where he played in the US Development Academy National Championship game. After being named a High School All-American at Issaquah High School, Quinn earned a scholarship to play for the University of Washington.

Though a debilitating injury cut his collegiate career short, the experience shifted his focus toward coaching at age 21. The struggle of rehabilitation and the pain at his career ending on the back of an injury transformed into a deep motivation that defines his coaching philosophy today. Quinn began his career with Coerver Coaching, focusing on technical skill development, and also spent time as a strength and conditioning specialist/ personal trainer. This background allowed him to master the art of building stronger, more mobile, and more robust athletes. Since 2018, Quinn has coached club teams for Eastside FC, where he is currently in his sixth season. He believes that technique is the foundation of a player’s game; developing technique develops athleticism, and maximizing these areas along with soccer IQ are paramount for players wishing to develop their potential.
